Question #5D

Are both parents registered either in SCIGBA or IDGR Fullblood-W (Fullblood-Wild) or Purebred Wild Herd Herdbook?

Instructions:

If you are the owner of the wild herd you may qualify for Approved Purebred Herd status. Contact SCIGBA Registry Coordinator at scigbassoc@gmail.com Attn: APH Application

If you do not qualify for Approved Purebred Herd status or simply do not want to wait to register this goat, Please contact the SCIGBA Registry Committee Chair at scigbassoc@gmail.com Attn: Recovery Herdbook for more information. Your application will go through the Recovered Herdbook Inspection process to determine your goat’s eligibility for the SCIGBA Recovered Herdbook.

Notes:

  • You must be the owner of the Dam.  If you are not, have the owner of the Dam submit the application and fill out the Transfer section transferring the goat to you.  The Recovered Herdbook Inspection process has allowable exceptions to this rule but in the case where those exceptions are granted the name and registration data on the Dam will not be included in the registration data nor on the registration certificate.

  • Include a copy of the IDGR/IGSCR registration certificate for the parent(s) that are IDGR/IGSCR registered.

  • If you were not the owner of the Sire at time of mating you will need to include a Breeding Service Certificate with the registration application. Breeding Service Live Cover (9) or AI (with a DNA Parentage test result)  The Recovered Herdbook Inspection process has allowable exceptions to this rule but in the case where those exceptions are granted the name and registration data on the Sire will not be included in the registration data nor on the registration certificate.
