Getting your goats registered is easier than you think!
The SCIGBA has removed the mandatory sire DNA requirement for standard registrations, making it simpler to record eligible animals in the herdbook.
Scope of This Guide
This Quick Start Guide is designed to walk members through basic, uncomplicated registration submissions only. It is not a comprehensive representation of all SCIGBA registry requirements or exceptions. For complete rules, special circumstances, or complex registrations, please refer to SCIGBA.org or the official registry policies.

Step 1: Check Your Membership Status
You must be a current SCIGBA member to register goats.
□ New Member? Complete the New Membership Application.
□ Need to Renew? Complete the Membership Renewal Form.

Step 2: Download the Required Registration Forms
You'll need:
✓ Standard Registration Application
IMPORTANT: The forms become fillable after they have been downloaded to your computer or device and opened in a PDF reader.

Step 3: Complete The Forms
Be sure to include:
✓ Owner information
✓ Goat name and identification
✓ Birth date
✓ Sire and dam information
✓ Registration details
Take a few extra minutes to review everything before submitting.

Step 4: Save A Copy
Before submitting, save copies of all forms for your records. Good herd records make future registrations, transfers, and breeding decisions much easier.

Step 5: Submit Your Paperwork
Option A: Email (Fastest)
Save your completed forms and email them to: asregistry@gmail.com
Payment Options:
• Include credit card information on the Work Order form
OR
• Call Associated Registry with your payment information, 660-851-0101
OPTION B: MAIL
Include completed forms and credit card payment information or check.
