Vital Stats: Full Name including herd name, sex, Date of Birth
˜       Vital Stats of Dam & Sire
˜    Copies of Registration Certificates / Pedigree
˜       Bonus - Line information
˜       Veterinary Records
˜       Height & Height
˜       Vaccinations & Medications
˜       Deworming
˜       Testing for CAE, CL, Johne’s
˜       Basic health information
˜       Current, Clear photos showing head, side of body, rear end, udder of goat for sale, dam, sire
˜       General Information on Herd Management
˜       Type of Fencing & Housing
˜       Feeding Regimen
˜       Overall herd temperament
˜       Bonus - Information on dam & sire
˜       Height & Weight
˜       Milking Records, if applicable
˜       Price & Payment Requirements (down payment, type)
˜       Additional costs like Certified Veterinary Inspection (CVI) if crossing state lines

Buyers-Prior to bringing home your new goat:

Ensure adequate fencing, shelter, and predator protection (fence of 5’ minimum, or electric fencing)˜      
Dedicate a quarantine pen
˜      Source feed, hay, general supplies, and veterinary care
      Obtain information on feeding rations & supplements
      Connect with the San Clemente Island Goat Breeders Association, www.scigba.org, and Facebook pages.

Sellers-Prior to physical transfer:

Ensure the goat has USDA approved permanent ID (ear tag, tattoo, microchip)
˜       Arrange CVI (if applicable) (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection)
˜       Registration & Transfer of the goat with the SCIGBA Registry
˜      Optional, Sponsored Membership with the SCIGBA Registry (if they qualify)
˜       Gather physical copies of records to provide in a folder
˜       Vet Record & Upcoming Schedule
˜       Registration certificates / complete pedigrees or copies of submitted paperwork
˜       Bill of Sales
˜       Supply a few days' rations of current feed
