Question #5B

Are both parents registered either in SCIGBA or IDGR/IGSCR Fullblood, Fullblood-R (Fullblood-Recovery), Purebred or Experimental Herdbook?

Instructions:

Notes:

  • You must be the owner of the Dam.  If you are not, have the owner of the Dam submit the registration application and fill out the Transfer section transferring the goat to you.

  • Include a copy of the IDGR/IGSCR registration certificate for the parent(s) that are IDGR/IGSCR registered.

  • If you were not the owner of the Sire at the time of mating you will need to include a Breeding Service Certificate with the registration application. Breeding Service Live Cover (9) or AI (with a DNA Parentage test result).

Your goat will be assigned to a Herdbook following these rules:

  • If both the Sire and Dam are designated as “Main” then the goat goes into the “Main Herdbook”

  • If both the Sire and Dam are designated as “Recovery” or one is “Recovery” and the other is “Main” then the goat goes into the “Recovery Herdbook”

  • If either the Sire or Dam are designated as “Crossbred” then the goat goes into the “Crossbred Herdbook”

  • For an IDGR/IGSCR registered parent:

    • IDGR/IGSCR Fullblood, Fullblood-R (Fullblood-Recovery), or Purebred Herdbook equates to the “Main Herdbook”

    • IDGR/IGSCR Experimental Herdbook equates to the “Crossbred Herdbook”
