Question #2

Are both your goat’s parents registered with SCIGBA?

Instructions:

Notes:

  • You must be the owner of the Dam.  If you are not, have the owner of the Dam submit a registration application and fill out the Transfer section transferring the goat to you.

  • If you were not the owner of the Sire at time of mating you will need to include a Breeding Service Certificate with the registration application. Breeding Service Live Cover (9) or AI (with a DNA Parentage test result)

Your goat will be assigned to a Herdbook following these rules:

  • If both the Sire and Dam are designated as “Main” then the goat goes into the “Main Herdbook”

  • If both the Sire and Dam are designated as “Recovery” or one is “Recovery” and the other is “Main” then the goat goes into the “Recovery Herdbook”

  • If either the Sire or Dam are designated as “Crossbred” then the goat goes into the “Crossbred Herdbook”
